The MDPI open-access journal<\/em> is releasing a special issue focused on \u201cSustainable Applications in Agriculture<\/em>\u201d.<\/h6>\n

It is in line with FASTER\u2019s objective\"\"<\/a> to support excellence in research on adaptation to climate change<\/strong> in land and water management.<\/p>\n

A call for contributions from researchers active in the sector is currently open.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As stated by Prof. Antonio Ruiz-Canales and Dr Manuel Ferr\u00e1ndez-Villena, guests editors of the journal: \u201cOne of the main current and future priorities in the productive sectors is adaptation to climate change<\/em>\u201d, for which measures have to be taken, and among them, \u201cthe sustainability of natural resources (water, energy, and others) stands out<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Reseach<\/a>The special issue will be part of the Sustainability<\/em> journal of MDPI, which fosters exchanges between researchers in areas related to sustainability and sustainable development. A great step forward to improve excellence in research and stimulate adaptation to climate change.<\/p>\n

The journal is based on the observation that productive sectors, particularly the agricultural sector, are facing significant increase in production due to information and communication technologies (ICT) and related technologies.<\/p>\n

Two main topics will be developed:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Precision agriculture; <\/strong>and<\/li>\n
  2. Sustainable use of resources in agriculture<\/strong> in environmental, social, and economic dimensions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Published authors will enjoy peer reviewing<\/strong> of their work, high visibility<\/strong> of their articles, indexation in major science databases, as well as rapid publication<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Submissions are now open until 31 October 2020.<\/strong>
