After three exciting years of hard work and dedication, FASTER is coming to an end with a closing conference “From Twinning to Excellence Hub for Tunisian Farm Advisory System”<\/strong> <\/span>on October 20th, 2021  (click here to see the agenda<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

All along these years, the project aimed at supporting INRGREF in the efforts to adapt Tunisia to climate change through four main objectives:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Increase the <\/span>Research Excellence<\/b><\/span> of INRGREF<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Develop a <\/span>Knowledge Transfer Framework<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Support the <\/span>institutional networking and institutional reputation<\/b><\/span> of INRGREF<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Support F<\/strong><\/span><\/span>arm Advisory Systems\u2019 sustainability<\/strong><\/span> in Tunisia<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The FASTER project has reached its objectives with the cooperation of its 7 European and Tunisian partners: CREAF, Lund University, INRGREF, IRESA, Europe for Business, Vision Communication and AVFA.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The final conference<\/span> represents an opportunity to share the project findings and main outputs. Along the three years of the project, the consortium has joined forces to enhance research, develop digital capacity building and networking instruments. This cooperation has bear fruits, deriving in valuable tools, such as the <\/span>E-learning platform<\/b><\/a><\/span>, the<\/span><\/span> FASTER Excellence Hub<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/span> and the upcoming <\/span>Atlas of Adaptation to Climate Change<\/b><\/span>.<\/span> These instruments, along with the learning obtained from the Mobility Programs<\/strong> <\/span>and the T<\/strong><\/span>raining courses<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, will serve as leverage for current and future generations to come out resilient and adjust to the current effects of climate change and the predicted impacts in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The event will have a hybrid format, which will consist of two sessions.<\/strong> <\/span>Both will include discussions on sustainability, natural resources management, innovation, internationalization and research excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The morning session<\/span><\/strong> is open to everyone interested and will be held online via Zoom, in English language. It will provide a presentation of the synergies and clustering activities with ongoing initiatives, in order to foster innovation ecosystems in Tunisia and beyond, creating better linkages between academia, business and government.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The afternoon session<\/span><\/strong> will take place in person in Tunisia (by invitation only<\/strong>), and it will be in French. It will grant local stakeholders the opportunity to visit the FASTER exhibition. They will present the project\u2019s main outputs and critical findings and discuss them in an open debate. Farmers, NGO\u2019s, researchers and developers will share their testimonials on fostering rural development and empower Tunisia\u2019s research on the management of natural resources and climate change.<\/span><\/p>\n
