FASTER joins the European Bioeconomy Network (EuBioNet)

The European Bioeconomy Network (EuBioNet) is a proactive alliance of EU funded projects dealing with Bioeconomy promotion, communication and support. The main goal is to maximise the efforts, increase knowledge sharing, networking, mutual learning, and coordinate joint activities. FASTER is proud to be part of this alliance and bring together different projects from the Mediterranean region, Europe and North Africa to increase the advantages of crowdsourcing experiences and understanding of climate adaptation.

The primary role of FASTER in the network is to raise awareness and enable the diffusion and knowledge about opportunities offered by bioeconomy and how its work can complement the demand on the other side. According to Susanna Albertini, the main contact at EuBioNet, the FASTER project can bring to fruition its knowledge on agriculture, water management, and social empowerment, which can help the bioeconomy as well as it can learn through other partners and their own experiences. In this way, bringing together the European Bioeconomy Network and FASTER enriches and reinforces both projects’ research and knowledge transfer capacity.

The collaboration between all partners is crucial, not only to enable Tunisian stakeholders to be a recipient of information but also to facilitate a loop of feedback, and addressing relevant information by contributing with its own traditional good practices and activities that can be recover and transfer to other projects and countries. FASTER is excited to be part of working to design a bioeconomy that is more ready to deal with climate challenges.
