Celebrating a new EU Climate Pact Ambassador among the FASTER project partners

After the appointment, last Msy, of our partner Leonardo Piccinetti, we are excited to announce that Mr Ramon Vila, FASTER Communication and Dissemination work package leader and founder of Vision Communication, has also been appointed as an Ambassador by the European Climate Pact Secretariat.

EU Climate Pact

Since its creation in December 2020, the EU Climate Pact has provided a platform for collective framework, to tackle climate change and environmental degradation and grasp the opportunities that come with decisive action and sustainable lifestyles. They will join a board of 181 ambassadors, professionals with different occupations and from diverse backgrounds. Together, they will engage in debates with people in their communities and translate scientifically sound information into praxis and potential solutions. Mr Vila will lead by example in climate and environmental protection, embodying these values in his work at FASTER and Vision Communication.

Mr Ramon Vila commented: “It’s a great honor to be Ambassador of the European Climate Pact, as well as a great responsibility. I will commit to keep working for a more sustainable future and contribute with my daily work on communication and awareness campaigns to the values of the EU Green Deal. This is #comm4action.”

As an ambassador, Mr Vila will raise awareness about climate change among people and organisations, contribute to the development and implementation of solutions, and make use of his networking expertise to maximise the outreach of these solutions. In this way, he will continue to promote FASTER’s objective to support excellence in research on adaptation to climate change in land and water management by focusing on spreading awareness and supporting action.

Mr Vila also attended the  online workshop for Ambassadors about Peer Parliaments on Friday 22 October to further his knowledge on the topic of climate change and be able to transmit it as a newly appointed ambassador.
